The Bridge of San Luis Rey by Thornton Wilder
3.0

As far as school books go, I didn't hate it as much as I thought I would. As far as books I would read for pleasure goes, I probably wouldn't pick it up again. Quite frankly, I got the story and, upon some re-reading and reflection, it was decent enough and I found myself actually caring a bit about the characters, but it was boring, especially the first time through. However, the more time I spent thinking about the book, the more fondly I viewed it, and now I actually find myself thinking it wasn't too bad.

Moral of the story: People die for reasons and you shouldn't play God.

But everyone died just as they became a better person:( I guess that makes it poignant and deep?
