A Stranger in the House by Shari Lapena

5.0

The review to read if you DON'T want spoilers.

A stranger in the house is tense from the first chapter right until the last. You never know which characters to trust and your opinion of them changes throughout the book. I have never read a book that had my heart physically pounding from tension. All I can say is, if you think you can solve the final plot twist, you're wrong. At certain parts of the book I was shouting 'No don't do that' at the book because it's one of those novels you forget your reading, you are so in your own head and involved in the characters lives you forget it's not real.

I think this is my favourite book of all time, because I have never been left gasping at the end like that book did. I would definitely recommend.
