dennisfischman 's review for:
Cinnamon Skin
by John D. MacDonald
Well written, and even though I'm not sure I've read any of the previous books in the series, the characters and their back stories came clear to me quickly, without needless exposition. The psychology of the killer was pure hokum, and the title tells you all you need to know about Travis McGee's relationships with women: they're only skin deep. The fact that he knows his own limitations and regrets them does not make him any more sympathetic.
