The Memory Thief by Lauren Mansy

4.0

I don't typically read YA, so the writing style is just something I haven't visited in awhile. Especially for it being her first novel, I really enjoyed the story; it's such a unique and creative idea. I love a good twist, and this book had quite a few! An entertaining page-turner with great life lessons. I did feel like the lessons were quickly glossed over a bit and wish there were more impactful moments of pause between them so the reader can have a chance to think about/feel them more before diving right into the next paragraph. I also feel everything really sped up for the second half and wish it carefully progressed like the first half. Just felt a little lopsided, but overall, I enjoyed it!
