Hunted by the Others by Jess Haines

This book was very frustrating early on, I felt that we did not get to know Shia very well and she came across as unlikeable. She is very judgemental and isn't as strong minded and independent as I like my heroines to be. The big bad was pathetic imo, the reason why Shia was targeted by them was lame and as we didn't actually meet them until the very end there wasn't any sense of danger from these strangers...it was very much a damp squib.
The vamp (I actually cannot remember his name 😂) was basically a carbon copy on Anita Blake's Jean Claude, actually the whole book screams Anita Blake before she became a sex crazed nymphomaniac! I predict the Vampire and the Were fighting over Shia for a while in the sequels.
The second half did improve and will try the next one I just hope it gets better because it does have potential.
P.S if I read the phrase "it gives me the willies" one more time I will scream 😂
