It's not often I give out five starts to books, particularly in this genre since here are so many bad ghost stories out there but this one deserves it. This book is creepy from the get go and gets creepier and creepier as it goes on. The two parallel stories that eventually converge at the end are both good, well-written stories in their own right and come together perfectly at the end. The story, the setting, and the characters are bleak and prefect. The ending ties it all together.
