Eve: The Awakening by Jenna Moreci

5.0

So I read this book several months ago, so I’m going off of what I remember. Some of my information may be a little watered down and not that detailed. Anywho, I’m going to move on to my usual trigger warning part. Eve: the awakening features mild profanity, graphic violence, mention of and flashbacks of extreme bullying, and death.

Time for everything I loved about this book!

So I really enjoyed the overall plot of Eve: the awakening. It honestly makes sense that the human race would be undergoing a new evolution in the future, and the author does an amazing job at describing this in a logical way. Although I’m usually not a hug fan of Science Fiction I loved the concept of this plot and felt that it was pretty original and fascinating.

I also really loved Eve for some reason, probably because I could relate to a lot of things that she was going through. She was also really badass all throughout the story and sometimes a little emotionless. Jason was also one of my favorite characters because he’s so cute and sweet and...I JUST LOOOOVE HIM. HE’S AMAZING!!!!!!

I would also like to say that this book was really long but I finished it in like...four days? If that. The pacing was ON POINT.

Tbh I don’t really have hay many negatives about this book. It did start out with a pretty slow pace, actually the book itself had a pretty slow page in my opinion (but it worked out fine for the most part), and that did make it drag at times. Also I think that the romance between Eve and Jason was amazing but they seemed to fall in love kinda for for no reason which kinda makes you think why they fell in love in the first place.

Overall, THIS STORY WAS AMAZING and it’s easily one of my top 5 books I’ve ever read. I love this book SO MUCH and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
