Thank you PRH Audio influencer program for the audio of this! I love the narration especially now that we get Kane’s POV.

The angst in this was so good and perfectly paced in my opinion. There was open communication almost the whole way through, it was more the character growth of forgiveness and choosing love in times of peril. And having Kane’s POV really helped with that, he’s a broody man obsessed and I love him for that.

I also loved the continuation of the world and prophecy. The side characters sometimes appear grey not necessarily in their morals but just personalities and I think that makes a story all that more interesting when certain connections and motivations have the potential to shift. Including compelling dramas within the friend group.

This had way more of an adventure plot than book 1 but I’m still really happy to have those slower peaceful moments of book to build up to this because the foundation is there. I LOVE this series.
