The Inheritance Games
by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
3.5 ⭐️
avery was like a touch-starved omega in heat for the entirety of this book, except for when she was thinking her little thoughts. and this bored me a little ngl, but i liked her nonetheless. the character development was there at like the last 20 chapters if you squinted. also, xander carried.
all this said, i will be reading the rest of the series because, for what it's worth, i liked what tobias hawthorne had cooked for his little chess pieces of children, and it IS entertaining.
