Bel Canto by Ann Patchett
3.25
Ann Patchett's writing is really winning me over. It just feels so comforting and she has a knack for giving all of the characters (even those with one line of dialogue) a personality and a heart, just making sure they all feel real and important even though they aren't larger parts of the story.
I was really excited about this book, but I thought it was a little slow for my taste. I also am getting a little bit tired of more serious literary fiction books, so this story came to me at a bad time. But I still enjoyed it, and I think if you enjoy the genre you'll enjoy this book.
