FTC DISCLAIMER: I RECEIVED AN E-ARC FROM THE PUBLISHER THROUGH NET GALLEY. HOWEVER, I DID NOT READ IT PRIOR TO THE BOOK BEING ARCHIVED AND REMOVED FROM MY KINDLE, SO I CHECKED A COPY OUT FROM MY LOCAL LIBRARY AND READ IT THAT WAY. I VOLUNTARILY OFFER MY HONEST REVIEW OF THE BOOK, THOUGH IT IS NOT EXPECTED OF ME! RECEIPT OF THIS BOOK IN THIS MANNER DOES NOT AFFECT MY OPINION OF THE BOOK OR THE CONTENT OF MY REVIEW!

I've moved away from Historical Romances in recent years, but since they came up for a challenge for me this month, I decided to look this one back up and give it a go. Sadly, it was a disappointing read for me.

The book had an interesting premise, but they wound up in the insta-love trope entirely too quickly, so that soured me on the whole story. They also constantly jumped to conclusions, which made me feel as if they didn't trust each other. The plot was jumpy, and everything felt underdeveloped overall.

I doubt I will read more by this author.
