Overall I enjoyed this read, there were a few things that didn't really need to be included plot wise but they help show the character's personality and the world they live in. I love that diego was able to show some development and showed accountability and remorse for his actions qt the end especially when you compare that to how women are treated around him. We love a self aware baddie.
Also love the sublte callouts of certain parts of bigotry throughout the story as it shows the realistic way we have to tiptoe around certain topics inorder to protect our safety while trying to invoke change within those around us.
As a mixed latina I absolutely love reading about the way other cultures compare to mine. It feels like a found family across the globe.
I can't wait to read more from this author and I am so happy i was able to genuinely enjoy this even though I've never really been a sports person.
