crickets 's review for:
Oliver Twist
by Charles Dickens
Last book read in 2022. I liked it. It was much darker and depressing than I had expected. Very simple mechanics in terms of story, with a lot of "Inherently Good" People vs "Inherently Bad" people. Some interesting criticisms about poverty, the law, and aid, though, especially for an adventure novel of its time.
