Cross the Line
by James Patterson
"Cross The Line" is the 24th installment in the Alex Cross series and yet again, James Patterson has another hit. The Cross series rarely, if at all, fails to compel me, as the reader.
This go around, there are multiple things going on. First, there is the murder of Alex's former boss, whom happens to be Bree's mentors, so it hits very close to home for the both of them. Then, there was a shooting of a high end vehicle on the roadway. Why was this person shot? What's the motive. Slowly, but surely the mystery becomes unveiled.
What I enjoy about the Cross series is that story lines seem very plausible and for the most part, he does a great job of keeping the reader guessing. Second, there are the side stories involving his family and what is going on in their life. After twenty-four books, its always interesting to see what happens with them.
I thought "Cross The Line" deliveries another great Cross story and I'm looking forward to the next installment.
