Anne's House of Dreams
by L.M. Montgomery
I truly love this book. Anne's House of Dreams is a definite improvement on Anne of Windy Poplars, and whilst it was sad to say goodbye to the Avonlea characters, the new ones very quickly became excellent replacements. We get to meet Susan Baker, who is a major character for the rest of the series, and she quickly became one of my favourite characters. This book also gets the honour of being one of the few in existence to properly make me cry, after events that result in Anne truly leaving her childhood naivety behind.
