Zorrie by Laird Hunt
3.0

I read this entire book on a flight from Seattle to Orange County. It’s so short which I think was ultimately a detriment. There wasn’t enough time or details to really care about Zorrie or any of the supporting characters. The author introduced so many characters with little background of detail, so it was sometimes hard to keep track of who was who and how they were all interrelated. I think the book would have benefited from adding years to each chapter as I was constantly wondering how old Zorrie was throughout the book. Very middle of the road. The most interesting part was about the radium girls, and I would be inclined to read some of the books about them mentioned in the acknowledgements. 2.5 rounded up.
