What an absolute privilege it was reading Before We Were by Mon. After finishing this book I found myself in the biggest slum, not sure what to pick up next because I’m worried nothing will make me feel the way this novel has! I laughed, and cried, and at some points had to put my kindle down because I just wanted to scream at the characters and make them realise what is going on!!! 
Absolutely incredible and so so thankful to have been able to read this book as an ARC.
