safiyyakhan 's review for:
Intimations
by Zadie Smith
I think the most poignant part of this book was the final part where Zadie Smith recalls the debts and lessons learned from people that are important to her. My favourite lines were:
"Joy and rigour were the same thing"
"How to delight in a margin"
"The value of being that person who remembers the childhoods of others better than they themselves recall them"
Overall, I didn't get as much as I expected to get out of this book, so it gets 3* from me.
