The Butcher and the Wren
by Alaina Urquhart
More like 3.5
I enjoyed majority of Urquhart's first novel. I think it did a really good job at setting up the characters, the setting, the premise, but the twist, albeit surprising, came across a bit confusing. There was a bit of clarity in the last few chapters, but the build up to the twist and then the reveal was a little off for me personally. All in all, I am very excited to check out the next novel and see where Wren's journey continues.
