"This city’s about survival of the fittest, fleece or get fleeced."
Second sister is a thriller that starts with the elder sister losing her loved ones one by one, and by the end she loses her younger sister due to suicide after she gets tormented on the internet.
Even though I took a long time to finish it, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, learning about our every character and about the socio-economic state of Hong Kong and it's compelling me to learn even more about it.

"Earning money was a means to an end: to support the household and let her family live happily. But capitalist society lulls us into believing our wages are a goal in themselves, turning us into slaves of money."
It discusses corruption in corporate world and education system, sexual harassment, bullying, and lack of cyber security.
and how much our entire life became easily accessible through our devices and internet even when most companies promise security and safety, it shows that our information is truly never safe. The sisters story truly impacted me and I cried by the end, however the story still manages to blend between the seriousness of the subjects that are being handled, and the fun banter (not at first) between N and Nga-Yee that helps to break the ice and let out enjoy a brief comedic aspect between them.
