4.5 stars. Karis, the female lead, saved another female from an apparent abusive male and was abducted with her for her trouble. Bronn, the male minotaur lead, was the other female’s last minute call and he and his team are able to track them down and extract them from a flesh trader’s auction. Bronn recognises Karis as his mate but Karis thinks she’s not the right match for a male as important as him…
This short story is dual POV, well written, and ends in a Happy For Now. It’s the first story I’ve read by this author but definitely won’t be the last! I’m looking forward to something longer and more in-depth!
