"because addie larue is immortal and henry strauss is damned."

words could not even begin to describe how beautifully written this novel is. the story is so heartbreakingly beautiful and it all felt so real. that is something i came to love most about the novel. it was a bit slow on parts, which is why it took some time to finish, but i could not imagine the slow parts not being included. every scene being so integral in telling the story of addie larue and her journey over three hundred years. the scenes between henry and addie were so achingly bittersweet because as you watch them fall in love you cannot help but feel that it will all coming crashing down at any moment. (no shocker it does) the relationship between luc and addie was an interesting one that i can't help but wish we delved into more. even reading henry and addies relationship i was begging for more of them, but were they not as well? begging for more time together before it all inevitably falls apart. all in all this was a fantastic read and great way to start off this reading year.
