I love a good sports romance--especially hockey though I've never actually watched the sport. This was my first book by Meader, and I really enjoyed it. I wasn't sure at first, with the "half sisters who don't know each other but have to do something dictated in a Will" trope (not always my favorite) that spelled angst from the start. And the forbidden nature of the relationship between Remy and Harper.

But the banter was great. Remy was sexy as all hell; there's just something about a Cajun southern gentleman. Their chemistry was off the charts, and Meader did a great job showing that. Yes, I wanted to shake Harper sometimes for keeping Remy at arms length. But the slow burn of the romance really worked.

I liked the cast of side characters and I'm looking forward to reading more of the series.
