Floored
by Karla Sorensen
QOTD: Hows the weather in your neck of the woods today?
My A: Rain, rain and more rain! It stormed all last night and now it’ll be raining all day. Perfect for snuggling up on the couch with a snack and a good book! I’m going to try and use this time to catch up on book reviews.

I’ve been itching to read a Karla Sorensen book for quite awhile now! I’ve had this one waiting in my Kindle Library for a bit so I figured I’d give it a go. While this is technically book number three in Kayla’s Ward Sisters series, I had zero issues reading this as a standalone. If anything, the little hints from the first two books just made me want to go back and read those as well!

This was a fun read. I really liked the easy chemistry between Lia and Jude. I haven’t read many surprise pregnancy books because they tend to be written poorly, but Karla Sorensen managed to bring this story to life without any of the cliche or cringe moments. There was a tenderness to Lia and Jude’s relationship that just makes you want them to work it out. Lia’s family is one big circus where you may be smothered with love or questions about your private life, most likely both at the same time. Growing up with six sisters and a brother I definitely understand Lia’s family and her deep love for them. There really is something about coming from a family that loves big and loves hard that makes your heart go goo. With Jude’s less than stellar family, I loved the idea of him finding a home in the Ward family! All in all, a super sweet read and definitely not my last Karla Sorensen novel!
.
When Lia meets Jude in a bar late one night, neither of them expect to see each other again. She’s in the UK studying for just a semester and he’s only in town for the night. They have one night of intense passion and that was it... Right? Wrong! When Lia discovers she’s pregnant, she knows she needs to tell Jude. But Jude has a secret of his own, he’s a professional football player. Between Jude’s crazy schedule, Lia’s school work and their newfound parentage, Lia and Jude find their connections run much deeper than just a fling. But she lives in Seattle and he lives across the globe. How can they ever make things work?
