Death: The High Cost of Living by Neil Gaiman

5.0

I tried to read Sandman back in high school and couldn’t get into it very much. A classmate told me that this would be a better entry point for Gaiman’s world of magic and monsters, and he couldn’t have been more right. This book was magical, and had some surprisingly deep messaging as well. I enjoyed the art and the story it told. I’m looking forward to reading Sandman sometime in the near future.
