Overall this was a really good book. I enjoyed the darker romance.  But I will say if you are squeamish at all probably not the book for you there was a lot of gory descriptions. However I didn’t find it to be too much. The romance in this book was really sweet and I really loved Sloane and Rowan I felt like they were perfectly matched. Their romance truly grew throughout the novel. 

But I did enjoy the first 60% of the book a lot more. I felt that as soon as the smut started the rest of the plot was thrown out the window. All of a sudden she’s moving in with him and they are opening a restaurant. I know the story at this point was building up over years but I felt like it comes out of nowhere. Which is why I ultimately landed with my rating. I also found that the ending of the book was a little lack lustre.

I also really liked the set up for the other couples of the next books. The teasers sprinkled in this book makes me excited to continue the series.
