Clanlands is a nonfiction book about Outlander actors Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish’s travels through the Scottish highlands for their upcoming Men In Kilts show on Starz. This book delves into so much interesting Scottish history and topography and also covers their time as actors in various stage and television productions. Their banter throughout the book makes it entertaining and moves the story along in between denser sections about Scotland. I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Not my usual nonfiction read it was a nice break and taught me a lot about Scotland that I really enjoyed learning. I’m so thankful I was gifted this book, it was such a good read!
If you like nonfiction, history, or the actors who wrote it/Outlander I highly recommend this book! It’s great. If history/nonfiction isn’t your jam, maybe skip this one, it could be a bit dry and dense a lot of the time.
