good for this book for leading casually racist white women to the conclusion that black people matter. but it's hard to look past the white savior complex, the single-sided black characters versus the complex white characters, and the fact that kathryn stockett was sued by the woman she based aibileen off of. could've been good if it was written by a black woman, but then again, a black woman would probably not write a story like this.
