Stalking Darkness
by Lynn Flewelling
Easily my favorite of the Nightrunner series. The characters become more fleshed out, the relationships are strengthened and the tone is much, much darker. We get a better picture of the world Lynn is building and the politics therein.
I will be honest and say that though the book is my favorite of the series, after the first reading, I skipped over the parts with Beka and her turma. That plot line serves a very important purpose, but failed to really move me in any way, except to get closer to the climax of the story.
