A bit underwhelmed by this first book, but I’m excited to see the sequel!

I was really excited for Lore of the Wilds, and while I still enjoyed the book, the plot, and its characters, I think the story and relationships were underdeveloped and rushed. The pacing would speed up and slow down at times where it felt like the opposite should be occurring. I really would’ve loved to have spent more time with these characters because they have such potential. I liked the writing for the most part but felt that the story was fairly thin.

While I’m underwhelmed with this first book, I am absolutely still anxious for the second of the duology and to see where the Sbrana takes these characters and stories!
