The Tiger and the Acrobat
by Susanna Tamaro
This book is stunning. It's a simple yet hard-hitting story following the entire life of a tiger. From her birth right up until the end of her life this book follows her journey and her want to discover more about humans. It is only a short book but yet it covers a whole range of topics in an easy-to-read way, at no point did I feel like I was reading a philosophy book. It broke my heart and mended it too.
I felt so attached to Little Tiger from the very beginning and you wish nothing but the best for her and her various companions. Her inquisitive nature sets off the entire story and I wanted her to have the best life possible. I was sucked in and stayed that way until the very end of the book.
Honestly, this book is beautiful. With gorgeous sketches throughout it warmed my heart and broke it all in one.
