Monstrous Travels as Wicked as Sin by W.H. Lockwood
5.0
Percy and Joe... ARE BACK and, they're about embark on their craziest adventure yet!
First up - AMAZING cover! The boys looks fantastic and this is an actual scene from the book!
I didn't think it would be possible to love these characters even more than I did but here I am - heart full... yes, I know so cliché!
Percy is our lovable, extremely morally grey character and yet, I'd love him as a best friend.
Joe is our loveable, risk-adverse (usually!) character and I loved seeing the 'other side' of him.
You easily see why these 2 are together and the amount of character development with Joe is utterly amazing. He is totally different to the Joe we met in Book 1. I feel Percy has mellowed a bit but he's still very much... err Percy.
The story is brilliant as the pair try to help a friend and steal yet another painting and there are so many one liners in here and statements by the gorgeous Percy that has me either snorting or laughing like crazy.
I started to highlight all my favourite quotes half way through so I need to reread and highlight the first half - so, so many favourite quotes!
There is A LOT of spice in this one (as there was previously) so if you are closed door reader then I reckon you can easily jump over these bits and still enjoy the story.
The formating in the book is absolutely fantastic with illustrations, random drawings and utterly hilarious titles, it makes for a truly unique ride!
I honestly can't sing the praises for this one highly enough... although, given how this ends... I feel there may still be trouble brewing for the pair 😆 🤣.
