Pros
· The beginning
· Not preachy
Cons
· Purple prose
· The ending
The way climate change was presented felt authentic and never once did I feel like there was an agenda or thrown in ideology. The characters felt so grounded in their circumstances allowing for an intimate and often heartbreaking take on how this sort of dystopia could look like. The use of time and how the story unfolds was so well done, I just don’t know if I could get on board with that ending. For me if felt too neat and the “magic” was not explored in any meaningful way other than a character trait. Each section felt like its own wonderful story, and I very much enjoyed watching Wanda grow up.
