Stone Butch Blues is just as revolutionary as Leslie Feinberg was. It serves as a reflection of Feinberg's views and sentiments regarding LQBT rights, activism, intersectionality, and more. The novel is a deep dive on the intricacies of passing, queer identities, race, class, gender, and more. Incredibly hard to read at times, but even more important because of it, Stone Butch Blues is not autobiographical, and yet reflects so heavily the lived experiences of Feinberg and other butch lesbians in the 60s.
