Heartwarming

This was a very heartwarming novel. Even though Blix, the great aunt gifting the brownstone, is dead for about half the novel, she is the most developed character. The rest, even main character marine, seem like a stock character that is not well thought out and have only shallow motivations. Would be a five star book, if the plot and characters were better thought out, as it left me with a really good feeling.
