backlogbooks 's review for:
Sounds Fake But Okay: An Asexual and Aromantic Perspective on Love, Relationships, Sex, and Pretty Much Anything Else
by Kayla Kaszyca, Sarah Costello
General disclaimer: this is less of a review and more of my notes so i can describe the book in the future.
Sounds Fake But Okay provides a basic idea of how (some) ace people see life differently, with a distinctly podcasty tone

- okay, so I have a base level of annoyance with "this is how allos see the world" type discourse because of the way it flattens a lot of experiences, so that should be kept in mind, but
- repetitive, not super in depth
- "allos don't go through this introspection" and related statements: really took me out of it lol
- both authors narrate and have a podcast together--that'll be a draw for some people and a disadvantage for others
