Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare

3.0

Good grief his book was way too long. I understand there was a lot going on and there were a lot of really interesting storylines. I loved the internal disagreement with the Clave (which had a very MAGA vibe) as well as the issues with the fae and Thule. But honestly, there are almost too many characters at this point. I sort of thought the point of this series was to focus on the Blackthorn characters, but now all of the sudden I have to deal with Jace/Clary/Alec and all of them crowding in. Look, you all had your time. I understand these characters are still involved, but did they need to have such a part in this story? I started skipping some parts because there was just WAY too much.

Also the cliffhanger at the end? Ugh wtf. Now there's gonna be more books. I'll reserve judgement for when that series comes out, but honestly if Kit is at the forefront, I would read it any way.
