I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own
Firstly, this book is quirky and weird. But I liked that!
It is the day of an immigrant nail salon owner, and what happens. The writing is beautiful. There isn't a plot or deep character development at 144 pages.
The big subtext is the classism of the customers versus the "Susan" nail technicians, as well as xenophobia and racism.
This book will make me think about it for a long time!
