Bored me to death
I like the overall idea of the book and the idea of Briony as the narrator but it just moves so unnecessarily slow that it is just painful to get through. Until this book I didn’t know there was such a thing as “too much detail” but somehow this book manged to convice me that it exists. The stiry itself didn’t really capture my interest and the writing didn’t help it either.
Had to read this for my English class but I just couldn’t find the motivation to finish. Everytime I sat down to try and read it I fell asleep after 20 pages.
Somewhat interesting plot
