1/24/24: I LOVED this book. Seeing Rowan and Aelin finally get to be together after waiting for so long. They deserved so much more time than they got before Maeve intervened. Dorian and Manon are completely enraptured with one another, but refuse to admit how deep their feelings really are. I love getting to see how the development of Aelin's character. She is so dang brave, but she is almost too brave for her own good. I wish she would let others get closer to her, but her past justifies her behavior. The scene where Rowan saves Aelin is so sweet, and kind of foreshadows what happens in kingdom of ash! Maeve sucks but we had to know she was coming because Aelin and Rowan got off easy last time. Does anybody know when the Mycenians show up? I cannot wait for all of the armies to rally together. Elide and Lorcan are cute, but Aedion and Lysandra are endgame. MARRIAGE? Yes.
