No lie, this was a hard read. The emotional turmoil was A LOT but the story is worth it. This isn’t your typical contemporary romance about teenagers - this gets into the nitty, gritty of childhood trauma, physical/mental abuse, the pressures of being an above average sports player as a teenager, and so many other issues that don’t get tackled in your run of the mill “booktok” book.
