The Island
by Adrian McKinty
3.5/5
I definitely had to suspend my disbelief for a few parts and I found some of the writing so clunky but this was an exciting read from beginning to end. I did find the relationship between Heather and Tom disingenuous from the start, especially with Heather constantly saying that his only good trait was that he knew everything? (Literally he had no other good traits, just that he was smart) meanwhile, she was a badass and did whatever it took to get herself and those kids off the island
