Your Table Is Ready: Tales of a New York City Maître D by Michael Cecchi-Azzolina

Did not finish book. Stopped at 8%.
I very rarely give up on books at 25 pages, but I just can’t find any desire to pick it up. I hate judging people’s memoirs, but this read like a high school boy trying to be Anthony Bourdain and impress people with all the stuff he’s done. The writing skill was lacking and it was missing any of the real heart and soul in the prose that I think a memoir needs. I do think a more thorough editor could have made a world of difference and there’s a chance I’ll come back to it at another time but for now it’s a DNF.
