The Gospel of Loki by Joanne M. Harris

5.0

I thoroughly enjoyed this. Harris' Loki is snide, sneaky, vengeful and wonderful. She has taken the myths, and given them a whole new life, without stripping away any of the flavour or insanity that characterized them. She hasn't attempted to censor or re-write the mythology in a way that would make it more acceptable to the general populace - which is excellent, as the stories in the Gospel of Loki stand tall and unapologetic, buoyed by the insanity and snark of the voice of Loki.
A definite recommend.
