This was a solid and fun book. The writing is much better than the start of the Ryria Revelations story. I did struggle a bit with the beginning but the story really picks up when Hadrian and Royce start interacting. Gwen's story was also very good, and although I knew from the other stories where she ends up the author still managed to make her story feel very tense and unpredictable.
