A Timeless Romance Anthology: Road Trip Collection by Jolene Betty Perry

4.0

I really enjoy reading these novellas. They're always short, but not too short, which is great when you don't have a ton of time to read. They're always clean, so I never worry about running into inappropriate scenes or worrying that my tween daughter will find it and read something she shouldn't.
So, the stories are each different from the others--#1 was reconnecting with a best friend's younger brother and seeing how hot he'd grown up to be. They both need to take some things to another state, so they join forces for a road trip. That was a cute one, with interesting characters and a fun story.
#2 was of a girl who is participating in a reality TV show where the characters have to dress in early 1800's clothing and travel in groups by carriage while acting appropriately for the era they've been assigned. It was a clever twist on a road trip. I really liked the main characters in this one. They suited each other very well.
#3 was a fun one that started out at a comic con--something I've always wanted to go to. The story was great, but I won't give it away here.
#4 was a cute story of a woman taking her mom up the California coast and stopping at several places along the way to sight see. As luck would have it, a couple of handsome brothers are making the same stops. It becomes an even more interesting trip.
#5 was of some old friends heading up to Alaska for one last road trip before one couple gets married and moves away. The female lead's boyfriend cancels on her (again) and in his place comes a good old friend. Feelings resurface and love is in the air.
Basically, they're all great stories, fun, short and perfect for when you only have an hour or two to spare.
