sword catcher reads just like every other cassandra clare book, except with more brothels and less lovable characters. our mcs are half-baked, boring and have absolutely no chemistry. the worldbuilding is lazy (geumjoseon, really?) and the politics are murky.

but at least i don't think she's plagiarizing a darker shade of magic lol.
