First, I liked the format of this audiobook with each author reading their writing, and one author even getting the individuals quoted in the story to read their own words aloud. That was a nice touch.
Second, it started a little slow and hard for me to get into, but then a couple chapters later, I found some stories to be more engaging or in a field that mirrored my interest better.
I think my favorite piece was on the data and why that it’s important, but I also liked learning about the humans behind other entities of government.
A very timely read as the public sector is currently being gutted and most of these workers could have chosen higher paying private sector jobs, but there are some things that only the federal government will do because it provides it as a service…and look at all the advancements we’ve made because of it!
