This...was not what I expected. Would've given this 5 stars if the entire book was the Frugal Wizard handbook, but unfortunately we got the biggest loser of a narrator ever - the type of guy who says he's 'good with women' and exclaims 'hot damn' constantly. This book was annoying to read because his POV was awful, but then he'd do something clever and I'd just be annoyed that I couldn't appreciate it. The modern travellers were genuinely some of the worst people I've ever read. Also, I did not expect a romance, and as it was developing I wanted to scream at Sefawynn to run far, far away. Honestly such a shame because I loved the concept of buying your own alternative dimension and the ethical debates it could bring about.
