Take a Hint, Dani Brown by Talia Hibbert

4.0

Yes, yes, yes and YES. Great stuff, right up my alley, I liked this way more than "Get a Life, Chloe Brown" and now I'm officially on board. Talia Hibbert, you're the real deal.

There are honestly so many good things about this book. For starters, I loved the two protagonists, Dani and Zafir. They had chemistry from the beginning and the development of their relationship was natural, organic, genuine. Nothing forced or awkward. They had all the sparks. I also loved Hibbert's take on the fake-dating trope; immaculate execution with the sexual tension, the flirting, the stakes, the smutty and the steamy - she really passed with flying colours for me.

Another thing that the author was amazing at, in my opinion, is how she handled mental health and anxiety disorder. Really great job and great representation, but I expect no less from Talia Hibbert.

Honestly, Hibbert has singlehandedly risen the bar for the genre. She is the standard with her amazing representation and diversity (be it about race, mental health, different body types, you name it), modern characterization, non-toxic relationships and effortless story-telling, and we should not settle for anything less.
